Do you only design for particular dolls?

Yes, I prefer to sew for the vintage fashion dolls of the 1950's with a few exceptions. I sew for those dolls which I own or collect. The main dolls I sew for are Madame Alexander's dolls - high heeled Cissy, Elise, Lissy, Cissette, and some of the flat-footed dolls from the 1950's. I also sew for Uneeda Dollikins, Ideal Revlons and Tonis in many sizes, the 10 1/2" fashion dolls like Vogue Jill, Ideal Little Miss Revlon, American Character Toni, and many of the similar sized dolls from that era. Modern dolls that I sew for are modern Cissy and Lissy, 18" Kitty Colllier, 14" Horsman Rini, 10" Ann Estelle and Patsy, 13" Effner Little Darling, 18" American Girl dolls, and the reproduction French doll, Bleuette. I have done special orders for different dolls in the past, so please ask!

What other services do you offer?

Cleaning & Restoration of vintage doll clothing, Accessories, Buying & Selling of vintage dolls and clothing, sewing for children or custom gifts.

What can I expect to pay?

Because many of my fashions are on a custom and individual basis, the price will vary. There are many factors involved including quantity, size/pattern, material and details, etc. Some items like my lingerie and reproductions of original Madame Alexander fashions have set prices because I have made them many times and have the materials to reproduce always on hand. Prices for custom orders which could possibly involve me making a pattern and hunting down the correct fabric cannot be pinpointed exactly until I know material costs and time involved. I have standard prices for common repairs like replacing old elastic on slips and panties and sleeves but major restoration work costs depends on the time involved once again. I am very reasonably priced.

What is your process?

After I am contacted by email or phone I will respond with a price or questions and we'll establish a time frame and price and payment method to our mutual satisfaction. I do not require a down payment except in the case of a very large order. After I am finished with a project I will photograph it and send a photo to you along with the payment particulars.

What is your lead time?

Depending on the quantity and complexity of the order, my turnaround
time is usually 1 to 3 weeks.

Do you take out-of-state orders?

Absolutely! My customers are from all over the US and Canada. Almost all of my items are shipped except in the case of sales to local doll friends, and items from my sales table at doll shows and conventions.

Do you ship Internationally?

At this time I only ship to the United States and Canada.

Do you provide samples?

Due to the custom nature of my clothing, samples cannot be provided. I will send scans of fabric prints via email to help a client with a decision.

Do you sell your designs in any shops or boutiques?

Not at this time. I visit local and national shows and sell my fashions a few times a year at those - check out my EVENTS page for more info.
